Harmony Cloud Terms

Last updated 2026-09-02.

Draft pending legal review. These terms describe how the service behaves today; wording may change before general availability, and the product will not charge anyone under terms that have not been reviewed.

1. What Harmony Cloud is

Harmony Cloud is an optional subscription that provides hosted compute (“workspaces”) on which the Harmony desktop application and terminal agent can run coding agents you direct. Harmony Core — the desktop application and terminal agent — is free, runs on your own machine, does not require an account, and is not governed by these terms.

2. Plan, hours, and limits

The subscription is $29 per month, or $288 per year, and includes 60 Agent Hours every 30 days. One Agent Hour is one hour of a standard machine; larger machine classes consume hours at a higher rate, shown before you start a workspace. You may run up to 3 workspaces at once and keep up to 10 saved workspaces. Unused hours do not roll over between periods and are not refunded.

3. Free trial

New accounts may start one trial of 5 Agent Hours. No payment method is collected for the trial and nothing is charged when it ends: cloud work pauses and Harmony Core continues on your machine. One trial per account.

4. Usage past the allowance

Cloud work pauses. Nothing is charged, and Harmony keeps working on your machine.

Turn on pay-as-you-go for $0.30 per Agent Hour. You pick a monthly cap when you turn it on. We stop at the cap. Available caps: $5, $10, $25, $50. Charges for usage past the allowance appear on your next invoice and never exceed the cap you chose.

5. Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's hosted pages. Harmony does not receive or store card numbers. Your subscription activates when Stripe confirms payment to us; reaching a confirmation page is not itself an activation. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep full access until then and may reverse the cancellation before it takes effect. We do not refund the unused part of a period, and unused hours are not refunded. If we fail to deliver — a workspace does not start, or an outage on our side loses hours — we credit those hours without being asked. Disputes and exceptional refund requests: brian@ideharmony.com.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we will retry and notify you. Running workspaces are not stopped to collect a payment. New workspaces are blocked first; if payment is still outstanding after the retry period, existing workspaces are paused. Nothing is deleted while payment is outstanding, and your workspaces remain exportable.

8. Your data

Only what you explicitly send to a workspace leaves your machine. We store:

  • Account emailSign-in and billing correspondence. Retained: Until account deletion.
  • Workspace filesystem contentsIt is the workspace. Retained: While the workspace exists, plus 30 days after cancellation.
  • Usage records (seconds per workspace)Billing, and answering 'where did my hours go'. Retained: Kept after workspace deletion — an invoice must remain explainable.
  • Device sessionsKeeping you signed in on machines you approved. Retained: Until revoked or expired.

We never store:

  • Model provider API keysThe cloud contract has no field for one, and egress cannot reach a provider host, so there is nothing a key would be useful for.
  • SSH keys, cloud credentials, .env filesRefused when the handoff manifest is constructed — not filtered later, refused at construction.
  • Secrets in logsLog lines pass through a redactor that matches by name and by shape.
  • Card numbersPayment details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers.

After cancellation your workspaces are kept for 30 days and then deleted. You may export at any time before that, and export is not metered.

9. Availability

We don't offer a uptime SLA yet. We'd rather say that than publish a number we have no track record behind.

  • If a workspace fails to start, it doesn't consume hours.
  • If we're down, Harmony keeps working on your machine — the local product doesn't depend on us.
  • Your workspace filesystem survives a pause, and survives us restarting the machine underneath it.
  • If we lose a workspace, your data is still exportable for 30 days.

We credit hours lost to our failures rather than requiring you to ask.

10. Acceptable use

Workspaces are for software development you are entitled to perform. You may not use them to attack or scan systems you do not own, mine cryptocurrency, evade the network allow-list, or store or process material you do not have the right to. We may pause a workspace that is harming the service or other customers and will tell you why.

11. Changes

If we change the price or the included hours, the change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before it does. These terms are read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
